I'm Thankful!

State employees are always at work helping us -- even on holidays. They keep us safe, care for veterans and the disabled, and protect children from abuse. They keep our air and water clean, solve crimes, respond to emergencies and much more. Any time of the day or night, every day of the year.

But this week, Governor Pat Quinn terminated their union contract. No Illinois Governor has ever done this before. It's an attack on the collective bargaining rights of workers who serve our families in every community in this state.

Sign to say that in this holiday season, you appreciate the service and sacrifice of state employees. Let them know you stand with them for fairness.

I'm thankful for the service and sacrifice of state employees. Anywhere, anytime, they are always on the job to serve Illinois families and communities, care for us and keep us safe. Governor Quinn is wrong to terminate their union contract and undermine their rights to bargain collectively. I appreciate the service of state employees and stand with them for fairness.
